Dominique Bazy
Founding Partner
Prior to co-founding Barber Hauler, Mr Bazy was Vice-Chairman of UBS Investment Banking Europe. He joined UBS Investment Bank in 2000 as Chairman and CEO of UBS Securities France SA. Previously, Mr Bazy held various positions, including CEO of AGF and member of the International Executive Committee of Allianz A.G., Chairman and CEO of UAP France and member of the Executive Committee of Crédit Lyonnais.
He is a graduate of the Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris and holds a law degree and a postgraduate degree in economics. He was a student of l’Ecole Nationale d’Administration (ENA).
Philippe Germond
Partner
Prior to joining Barber Hauler, Mr Germond had been Chairman of the Executive Board of Europcar Groupe since 2014. He began his career at Hewlett Packard in 1981 before joining SFR in 1995 as CEO, then as Chairman and CEO until 2002. In early 2003, he became CEO of Alcatel, then Chairman of the Management Board of Atos in 2006, and was appointed Chairman and CEO of PMU in 2009. Mr Germond is a graduate of Ecole Centrale de Paris and holds an MS in Management from Stanford University.
Olivier Lévy-Barouch
Partner
Prior to joining Barber Hauler, Mr Lévy-Barouch was Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the La Banque Postale Group, in charge of Finance and Strategy. Mr Lévy-Barouch began his career at Arthur Andersen in 1994 before joining BNP Paribas Corporate Finance in 2000 as Director M&A Financial Institutions and then General Electric Capital in 2008 where he was Managing Director M&A and Head of Equity EMEA, before joining La Banque Postale in 2017.
Mr Lévy-Barouch is a graduate of EM Lyon and holds an MBA from the University of Connecticut. He is also a former auditor of the Institut des Hautes Etudes de Défense Nationale (SN 2022).
Jean-Pierre Jouyet
Senior Adviser
Prior to joining Barber Hauler Capital Advisers as Senior Adviser, Jean-Pierre Jouyet pursued a career as a senior civil servant and politician at a national and European level. He was notably deputy chief of staff to Jacques Delors (European Commission), chief of staff to Prime Minister Lionel Jospin, director of the Treasury, head of the IGF, secretary of state for European affairs, chairman of the AMF, CEO of the CDC and chairman of the Banque publique d’investissement (BPI). In 2014, he became General Secretary to the French Presidency under François Hollande. He was then appointed French ambassador to the UK, before being elected as France’s permanent representative to the OECD until 2020. He is a graduate of the Institut d’études politiques de Paris and ENA, and also holds a DEA in law.
Gilles Richard
Senior Adviser
Prior to joining Barber Hauler, Gilles Richard was CEO of Barclays in Paris from 2010, in charge of a large industrial and service companies portfolio. He had previously held various positions at CACIB, notably as head of the Utilities and Aerospace & Defense sectors. He has also held various positions at the French Treasury, Caisse des Dépôts and within Governmental ministries. Gilles Richard is a graduate of the Ecole Polytechnique and the Ecole Nationale d’Administration.
Gonzague Depouilly
Partner and CEO
Prior to joining Barber Hauler Capital Advisers, Mr Depouilly spent 2 years in M&A at UBS Investment Bank. He has worked on several M&A transactions in Paris and in the Capital Goods team in London, as well as on Oil & Gas matters.
Mr Depouilly has been appointed CEO of Barber Hauler in 2023.
He is a graduate of Ecole Polytechnique and HEC Paris.
